WINING & DINING

Assuming that you have got over the Xmas, New Year and Three Kings binge, this month’s recommendation is a brand new restaurant in Palma.

Situated in Calle Industria, under one of the windmills, the "Minica" claims to be the first "brocheteria" to open in Palma.

For the uninitiated a brocheta is a skewer, and barbecued skewered dishes are the Minica´s speciality.

The restaurant is split into three, separate, arched rooms, the largest seating around 30 or more people- excellent for a large party.

We started with endive with roquefort (16 starters ranging from 4.50 to 11 Euros) followed by a lamb brocheta and their "brocheta de casa" which included beef, lamb and pork. Both came with fried potatoes, aubergine and courgette. (They offer 10 different brochetas including fish and vegetarian)

With a bottle of house wine the total was 25.68 Euros.

This is an excellent, value for money, new venue and I highly recommend you trying it.
