EUROPEAN STEWARDESS TRAINING

"Our plan is that stewardesses worldwide will have gained the knowledge and skills to match the profile expected of Captain´s and owners of super yachts". This is how Angela Evans Director of European Stewardess Training announced the newly opened training operation in Palma in conjunction with Leticia Van Allen Crew Agency.

The courses have been endorsed by Robert Watson of the Guild of Professional English Butlers and are about assisting stewardesses to achieve their full potential now and in the future whether they are experienced or entry level. The training is created for ´stewardesses, by stewardesses´. Angela is a qualified Chief Stewardess and English Butler and has chosen to devote her time to the new project as she feels passionately about stewardesses demonstrating, and continually demonstrating, work to a recommended high standard. She can pass on her knowledge because she has ´done it´ herself and has a full understanding of the exact skills needed for being or becoming a stewardess.

The courses cover teaching the reality of working on a yacht extending from the detailed cleaning and the laundry room to service techniques and order of service and students get involved with and preparing and serving for a dinner party as would be expected in their job. Further areas covered are wine appreciation, flowers, bar management and mycology, etiquette and silver service. On completion of the training the stewardesses can expect to feel more confident and have a better understanding of her role working towards refined performance and developing a more responsive attitude to her job.

Training can be carried out at the training base or in situ on the yacht.
